As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on another incredible year at Modulate. From expanding our technology to new heights to fostering safer and more inclusive online spaces, here’s a look at some of our proudest moments and goals for 2025:

🚀 ToxMod Milestones

Product Enhancements: We rolled out cutting-edge updates to ToxMod, making real-time voice moderation faster, smarter, and more adaptable to diverse community needs in gaming, delivery services, social platforms and beyond.
Expanding Integrations: ToxMod now supports more platforms and voice systems than ever, including new partnerships with Photon Voice, AWS, and more, empowering developers with seamless moderation solutions.

🎯 Customer Success

Leading the Way in User Safety: Activision released their latest update on anti-toxicity measures this year, which include using ToxMod to detect code of conduct violations happening in Call of Duty voice chats. We’re proud to be helping Call of Duty offer an experience that balances safety and inclusivity with the competitive banter that’s essential to so many players.
Celebrating Best Practices with Industry Leaders: This year, we’ve deepened collaborations with customers and partners like Trass Games, Rec Room, and Schell Games to bring more awareness to online safety best practices and technology. Plus, we announced our newest customer partnership with Rockstar Games to bring ToxMod into GTA Online.

🌐 Industry Leadership

All the Events: As a team, we attended and spoke at 35 (!) industry events, including the Family Online Safety Institute Annual Conference, GDC, TrustCon, AWS Re:invent, Gamescom, Eradicate Hate Global Summit, GamesBeat Summit, and more, sharing insights on the evolving landscape of trust and safety in gaming.

🤝 Community Impact

Improving Access: This year we continued our partnership with CLTX, the official e-sports league of the Boston Celtics. We were honored to contribute to the opening of the newest Jr. CLTX Academy at the Mattapan Teen Center here in Boston, improving access to computers and STEM education in our community.
Promoting Positivity: The Modulate team went back to the Boston Cradles to Crayons center to help sort, clean, and organize incoming school supplies and clothing that are sent to families in need in the Greater Boston Area.

Growing Modulate: We welcomed new team members across engineering, customer success, and marketing, bringing fresh talent and perspectives to our mission.
Recognition and Awards: Modulate received accolades from BuiltIn Boston as a top place to work, and from BostInno as a Fire Awards recipient. I was also honored with recognition from the Boston Business Journal as a 40 Under 40 Honoree this year.
