Q: Who are you? Where are you from?

A: My Name is Malik Hector and I was born, raised and have lived in Boston, Massachusetts all of my life.

Q: What’s your background? What did you do before Modulate?

A: My background is in full web development.

Q: Why are you joining Modulate?

A: I am joining Modulate because of the mission to bring ethics and diversity to businesses . coming from larger companies, the commitment to this is nothing less than refreshing. Also,  I am a participant in gaming, with Modulate working closely with gaming companies to bring safety to those communities is another big driver for me.

Q: What’s your ideal work environment? Any special strategies you use to stay effective?

A: My ideal work environment is one that is highly collaborative. I believe a team is the sum of its parts.

Q: Tell us about something you must have in any culture you join?

A: Good people. Good people drive good culture, having a good Culture is motivational.

Q: Who are you outside of work?

A: Outside of work I am a gamer who likes to compete in gaming tournaments, I spend a lot of time with my wife, family and friends, and I am a novice (super novice) player of the electric guitar and electric bass guitar. Oh and I like to travel!

Q: What’s something you’re great at that few people realize?

A: Time management. I try to be very intentional about where my time is spent.

A: I am a casual “dad joke” enjoyer. One of my favorites “why was the little strawberry so upset?” --- “Because his parents were in a jam” haha
